Got Potato Veggie Combo?

Got Potato Veggie Combo?

You ever got hungry and decided to throw something together real quick?

Yup, I know exactly how you feel.

Had red potatoes just sitting there looking lonely and untouched so I took two and chopped them real nice. Got some orange bell peppers, yellow chakras (lol I meant squash), purple onions, and cucumbers to chop as well. After the potatoes finished boiled, then added the some of my favorite herbs and spices such as oregano, cayenne pepper, thyme, and etc. By the way, coconut aminos are a must in addition to the finish mix up.

Personally, a brother likes to add the raw veggies last so the nutrients don’t disappear.

4 Funny Vegan Jokes

4 Funny Vegan Jokes

Have you noticed how serious the vegan lifestyle can be?

The beauty of life is you can usually find two sides of the same coin in majority of situations. Another way of looking at it is with universal law of duality. Picture a magnet with its negative and positive poles. Both sides make it whole.

This post is a little bit out of the ordinary; however let’s see your thoughts on these four vegan jokes that cracked me up the other day.

What do vegan zombies say?
– Graaaaaains! Graaaaaaains!

Lol, for real though.

Who actually stuck around to hear someone hear these vegan zombies say such a thing?

The real question is do vegan zombies really craves grains or eat vegans only?

It kind of makes you think of how tasty would carnivore-like humans be to a vegan zombie though. So much for cruelty-free as a vegan zombie, however let’s move to the next one.

Why did the tomato blush?
– Because he saw the salad, dressing.

It’s all fun and games until a red tomato blush. If you actually sat there and really imagined a tomato blushing while looking at a salad dressing, then you’re as nuts as me lol. I’m still cracking up like who thinks or come up with this stuff though. Everytime you pick up the salad dressing and see tomatoes around, watch a memory of this post come up in your head lol. Let’s move on to the third vegan joke.

What did the lettuce say to the celery?
– Are you stalking me?

You can’t be serious. It’s all fun and games until you’re getting stalked by celery. Call a brother cheesy, however it could you imagine some form of lettuce saying something like that to a stalk of celery? First you have the tomato turning red because of salad dressing and now you gotta upset lettuce and doesn’t like celery be to close. This is what happens when plants have feelings. Client base Comedy Central all over. Let’s move on to the last vegan joke.

Why did the Tomato go out with a prune?
– Because he couldn’t find a date!

For real?

First the tomato started blushing and now is going out with a prune because he couldn’t find a date. It kind of makes sense because dates taste so damn good. This doesn’t really help but I ate a few dates earlier so this is why the tomato probably can’t catch a break. Prunes require love too, so maybe the best.

The vegan jokes may seem cheesy, however those with the plant based or vegan lifestyle would find it more hilarious than most. Maybe because my sense of humor is high could be the reason I personally cracked up a little kid LOL.

Spicy Vegan Mac & Cashew Cheese

Spicy Vegan Mac & Cashew Cheese

So the other day cashews and mac with cheese were on the mind. Went online to the oracle knowledge, aka google, and found chickpea/lentil spirals.

May not be macaroni but close enough gosh darn it lol. So, I was thinking of all the vegan cheese alternatives which led me to cashew cheese. Unfortunately, a lot of the cashew cheese recipes didn’t vibe with me until I decided to magically create my own version.

What’s in my version?

I pretty much made the cashew cheese into the sauce version which pretty much included adding about as much water as cashews in the blender with two bananas, sea salt, and one squeezed lemon. After the grande finale of mixing everything together in a bowl, I sprinkled cayenne pepper on top and it was a blissful taste worth eating once a week.

Why?

Because a great thing should be tasted once in a blue moon lol.

Would you eat something like this?

Stay true to you and it fruits.

Why People Fail At Motivation After Becoming Vegan Overtime

Why People Fail At Motivation After Becoming Vegan Overtime

You ever spoke with someone that claimed to have been vegan in the past, and then there was a huge BUT afterwards?

Yep, that happened to me quite a bit of times. It kind of makes you sit there and wonder what their motivation to doing it in the beginning was. From my experience, a number of people transition to the lifestyle because of health challenges. It’s amazing how deteriorating health problems can be a strong motivation to live or eat a certain way they’re naturally designed to do so. But, when they reach back to the health of their desire and motivation goes away then it’s easy for them to revert back to where they were before. True or false?

Always remember to ask people that’s no longer vegan why they decided to go vegan in the first place because usually that’s the foundation to what teach them a certain way. If the foundation is weak or not truly strong like those that continue to live the lifestyle, then it’s only a matter of time before they’re no longer living the way of a vegan. One of my home girls adopted the vegan lifestyle because of my example and the experience she had at the SEED Experience in the city. For those curious about what the Seed experience is it’s an event where you can learn from vegan speakers and see different vendors selling vegan products for the most part. I guess she got caught up on the results and didn’t really have a true why for doing it because the motivation lasted not even a month and when I asked why, all I heard were excuses.

Would you agree that a strong motivation for anything is the root of why people keep at it?

If your answer is yes and you’re still vegan, then your why foundation is more than likely the power behind the drive which keeps you strong with this way of living. The vegan lifestyle is simple however some people just complicate the process. For those that lack the initial willpower to eat plant based then recognizing where your motivation is a good start should you choose the light side LOL. At least things should be making sense for you in regards of you figuring out your true motivation for change. Inspiration and aspirations are usually the feeling behind it. Life is funny; because I’m remembering an old friend that attempted the vegan lifestyle but quit under a week because a girl he was talking to invite him to a birthday party and offered food with flesh. The universe will always test you and only your actions will determine if your motivation is truly strong or not.

At the end of the day remember to always eat fruits and stay true to you.

What story can you share that involves someone you know losing their vegan edge at their motivation is loss?
