If you told me 5 years ago that I’d have the will to eat only fruits and herbs for 40 days straight, then would say to you go fuck yourself. A brotha gotta get his grub on LOL. However, at the time of being oblivious to the reality of health and years of putting bad food stuff in the body, including synthetic chemicals on the body turned out to be a no. One of the many reasons for adopting the vegan lifestyle was for health after understanding how acidic animals and byproducts are in the body, which explained the colds, flu, eczema challenges, and etc. It’s amazing how the body healed and how rare I get sick since November 2012. You may be wondering how one can catch a cold or have mucus challenges on a vegan diet. It could probably be linked to the comfort food, refined foods, or hybrid foods eaten in excess overtime. That’s another blog post for another day though lol.
Why did you go 40 days eating only fruits and herbs?
Many reasons ranging from experimentation to giving the body the proper nutrition it deserves. There’s so many nutrition information out there that misinforms people on what we should eat. So many people think protein is important and I used to be one of those people until finding out how too much of it wreaks serious havoc in the body. Especially when it comes from synthetic sources that isn’t natural to the body. It’s amazing how people want sources, credentials, and etc. It’s fair; however why do these same people believe in those with degrees and not open their minds to logical and/or practical thinking? For those still eating white or brown rice, I wrote a blog post about grain alternatives and someone didn’t take it serious because of no proof or sources. Lol, that’s cool, people learn best the hard way and that’s when a trip from memory lane will recall someone giving them the same info someone else in the present moment will give them.
On day 11, I started getting detox symptoms such as fatigue and light headedness. Poop had a lot of mucus, however didn’t smell much of anything. The crazy thing is that it confirmed that all the soy, bread, and rest of the vegan comfort food were sitting inside me. Those jerks lol. Free will and take full responsibility because it was my choice to eat them knowing it’s a no Bueno. Remember eating vegan mac and cheese with French fries and taco salad weeks before the fast. Every bite had a brotha weak. Like ohhhh snap, the energy is depleting and got me sleepy hahaha. Yet it tasted so mmmmmmmm. However, this fast really does help to build discipline. Temptation as you’re outside is strong because you smell cooked food everywhere and you’re like, “can a dude get some vegan pizza?” Your higher self is like “no fool, keep on eating alkaline plants and you’ll thank me later.” True story.
You’d be surprised how creative you’ll become trying to figure out what to eat. Fruits are awesome; however the variety of what to eat is important. To break it down in a simple manner, think of fruits, berries, and melons. If we think of those categories, then planning ahead is simple. They’re all fruits by the way. In the first category, I had food such as bell peppers, cucumber, eggplant, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, squash, papaya, avocado, bananas, apples, cherries, pears, mangoes and etc. If dinner wasn’t eaten bout a half hour ago, would soooooo eat a mango right now lmao. The types of berries I had was strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. You know, a brotha would really love to have grapes, however haven’t found SEEDED grapes ggrrrrrrrrr. My bad, seems that I was typing outloud lol. Only melons that had a preference for were cantaloupe and honey dew.
In relation to herbs, they were either in smoothies, raw soup, or fruit combination. Yes, raw vegan soup is possible. Don’t know about you, however it shocked me that cold raw soup was possible. If you look at former vegan food porn posts, then you’ll see an example to what’s possible. Some of the herbs used during this period was sarsaparilla, maca root, cinnamon, chlorella, burdock, thyme, oregano, cayenne, moringa, brahmi, ginkgo biloba, and etc. Bladderwhack and seamoss helped for the mineral content.
The pooping was REAL. Papaya really was the fruit that really released a lot from within. It makes sense for its high fibrous content. You really would think that the length and mass of poop on this process wouldn’t be the way it was but you’d be in for a surprise should you decide to try something like this lol. Around day 18 or 20, I swear mucus only came out of me. It really made me wonder how all those vegan comfort foods really stay in your body for a long time, and then gets released when you eat the natural way of eating. It’s funny how life turns out.
Energy levels have been so high that I had to learn how to slow down to make sure my movements outside was average. Really felt like everything really enhanced. Waking up was refreshing, however in the beginning was a challenge to sleep because of extra energy. All in all, I will continue until 60 days are up. Will finish remained foods I have to be picked, then will probably stay fruit based the remainder of life just knowing my loco self.
Eat plants 😉
Back in 2012 was a year of many changes for me, such as adopting the vegan lifestyle, working on personal development, contemplating dropping out of college, and etc. On the road to higher learning from independent studies, you’ll find that when you learn things YOU actually want then information is easier to retain. One of those topics was astrology which at that point thought was a sun sign only type of thing in my head. That was until someone recommended to get your natal chart done. Of course a brotha was like, “the heck is all of that?”
If you have no clue what your natal or birth chart is then you should go get it done in pdf form, then don’t be surprised if you get all confused. All that time beforehand just being a libra and proud was enough. It’s like being unplugged from the matrix. My bad. For those not knowing what the heck a natal chart is. When you were born, the stars and planets was aligned at a specific time and location of your birth. The energies absorbed became one with you and this is why you have played out certain traits in your life. So, if you know your sun sign and may be the same sign as someone but seem so different is because of different planets, other signs, and house numbers. Once again, this is probably a new concepts for some of you. I didn’t learn this in 2012 because the books I had was a bit complicated to me, however knew I’d be ready for them later in life, which turned out to be 2016.
What are the planets we share? The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, however you also have other placements such as a rising sign and midheaven. Simplifying this a bit, the planets let you know what’s happening. For example, the Sun is how you see yourself, Moon is emotions, Mercury is communications, Venus is attraction, Mars is will power, Jupiter is how you gain wisdom, Saturn is discipline, Uranus is originality, Neptune is dreams, and Pluto is how you transform.
The 12 signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Some of you may have heard of the newest edition of the 13th sign, however in my opinion from intel I’ve gathered, we shouldn’t pay it any mind because the sign comes from a different solar system that’s not part of ours. The world we live in is so…………….. unique. But that’s none of my business. If you ever felt like you carried traits of 2 signs based on the closeness of your birthday based on the transition of the signs changing then you’re a cusp, which means you may play out more of the traits of one of the signs or be a perfect blend. Twilight Zone theme plays. LOL
We also have a house number attached to each planet we have. This means where the meaning of our planet description that we’ll act out on the most. For example, my Sun is in the 10th house. You may want to recall that the sun deals with you’re the identity of how you see yourself and conscious purpose. The 10th house is Capricorn like energy, so my action on self will be acted on my public image, vocation, or position in the world. The funny part is in numerology, 10 would equal to 1 + 0 become 1. One meaning to this number is key to communication skills. It’s funny how everything connects in some way. It also explains why in different parts of my life the spotlight somehow kept coming to me whether wanting it or not. Back in the navy, used to always get singled out for being a bit of a knuckle head lol. In college, some professors would single me out because of the high grades on their exams. A bit embarrassing when your moon sign is in an earth sign which is why I may be shy at times haha.
Another funny thing, I’ve learned to control since self-teaching myself astrology is how my rising sign is in a fire sign, sun sign is in an air sign, moon sign is in an earth sign, and mercury sign is in a water sign. Had a brotha feeling like the avatar getting to bend all the elements LOL. However, it explains why most people are confused about me. Appear energetic and filled with charisma, seem balanced and peaceful, feel a bit conservative and discipline, and communicate with emotion at time. It’s so funny when you seriously figure out why your life was the way it was before you knew of these things.
It’s one thing to know thyself. It’s another to apply you as well. Now that I have an idea what the stars have let us know with a bit of wisdom being increased from numerology. It’s just a matter of time before what’s available for the future manifest. Because with this understanding of the stars, I made the choice to walk the path the universe has allowed for us to take.
How has astrology changed your life?

On the road to finding your meaning in life, you’ll realize it will continue to grow and expand as time goes on. Why? Who you are in the current moment could be a completely different next week. You may be about that vegan lifestyle but become a raw foodist because of something you learned. Life really is what you make out of it.
The secret recipe in shaping your life is according to your thoughts, choices, and actions. What you think about constantly in the mental realm has an effect on the physical realm. Especially if your emotions are attached to the vision(s) you have. For example, during my first year in college I had visions of getting A’s or A-‘s for final grades. Of course that doesn’t come easy. This is where choices had to be made which started with questions to ask myself, such as how the heck can a brotha that just left the military and haven’t been to school in years get high grades. At the end of the day when you desire something, you have to figure it out a choice to act on. Next came the action part where massive amount of studying was applied during the weekdays and weekends. Very intense, however made to for PS3 online because gaming was one of the things I loved to do on downtime. The end result was shocking because it was the first time a true meaningful vision came to fruition. A’s and A-‘s which validated the mental science learned from independent studies.
You see, there are no accidents in the universe. We are exactly where we deserve to be which the universal law of cause and effect has taken place. If you want an effect to something, then you have to focus on the causes. Nothing is new under the sun. It was written. THINK of what got you to where you are right NOW. You must realize to change or be the change in your life in order to make life worth living. On the other side of the coin, your choice could be consciously negative and that’ll more than likely be what you attract in your life. Is that fair?
From experience of being an entrepreneur and being affiliated with other people on a similar path, you can see why they’re at in the present moment. Challenges are expected in the lines of being an owner but if it’s in an abundant amount, then you have to ask what have you done to be in that position. On a brighter note, others are reaching massive success in their lives, such as manifesting the dream that they’ve longed for in the process of creating their illusions. For example, a Scorpio female I know severed ties with the W-2 life to become an independent burlesque dancer and teacher of the dance arts. To see someone live their dream and love it is fascinating because the whole unfortunately chooses not to. Success in itself is open to interpretation. What’s your definition of success?
What you make out of your life is your responsibility. As a wise man once said, with great power comes great responsibility. Now go manifest your visions 🙂
